How to fix HomeWizard not working
HomeWizard is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach homewizard.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Restart the Energy app
Close the HomeWizard Energy app from the app switcher, then open it again. If it asks you to sign in, use the same account that was used when the P1 Meter, Energy Socket, or Watermeter was added.
Check your phone connection
On iPhone, open Settings > Wi-Fi and check that Wi-Fi is on. On Android, open Settings > Network & internet > Internet, then connect to your home Wi-Fi and turn off any VPN under Settings > Network & internet > VPN.
Power cycle the meter
If live readings have stopped, unplug the P1 Meter from the smart meter, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back into the P1 port. For an Energy Socket, pull it from the wall socket, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
Use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
HomeWizard devices need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, so check your router app or router web page for a separate 2.4 GHz network name. Connect your phone to that network before you add or reconnect the device in the Energy app.
While HomeWizard is down: what to use instead
- Smart meter display If the app is unavailable, read the electricity or gas totals from the meter in your meter cupboard and note them until HomeWizard works again.
- Energy supplier app Use your Dutch energy supplier's app or account page when you need billed usage or meter history, though it may lag behind live readings.
- Manual switch For a smart plug or appliance that you normally switch in the app, use the button on the plug or the appliance's own switch if you can reach it safely.
- Solar inverter app If you track solar output through the service, the inverter's own app can show production while the HomeWizard app is having trouble.
What happens when HomeWizard goes down
HomeWizard is a Dutch home energy service for the Energy app and devices such as the P1 Meter, kWh Meter, Energy Socket, and Watermeter. Dutch households use it to watch smart meter use and solar production; an outage can break live readings and graphs.
During a HomeWizard outage, the Energy app may open but stop updating live power use, gas readings, solar return, and water use. The P1 Meter or Energy Socket can look offline even when your Wi-Fi and power are fine, because the cloud account or app session cannot fetch fresh data. Breakage often shows up first as slow graphs, failed sign-in, stale totals, and devices stuck on their last value. Issues can be regional or partial, so one household may lose app data while another can still see history.

Tip: HomeWizard doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track HomeWizard
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for HomeWizard, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for HomeWizard, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. HomeWizard doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
