How to fix GCash not working

GCash is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach gcash.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

Restart GCash
Close the app from your recent apps list, then open it again. On Android, open the recent apps view and swipe the app away; on iPhone, swipe up from the bottom and flick the app card up. This clears a stuck screen or a dropped login session without changing any settings.
Switch GCash connection
Move between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then turn Airplane mode on for 10 seconds and off again. Open a browser and load a page to confirm the connection works. If the page loads but the app still fails, the problem sits with the app or the service rather than your signal.
Clear GCash cache
On Android, open Settings > Apps > GCash > Storage & cache and tap Clear cache. Do not tap Clear data or Clear storage, because that can sign you out and wipe saved app settings. On iPhone there is no per-app cache control, so reinstall the app if you suspect stale data.
Reinstall GCash
Make sure you can receive the one-time password on your registered number before you delete the app. On Android, open Settings > Apps > GCash and tap Uninstall; on iPhone, touch and hold the app icon, choose Remove App > Delete App, then install it again from Google Play or the App Store. Sign in with your MPIN and the OTP you receive.

GCash is a Philippine mobile wallet for transfers, bill payments, load, and QR store payments; you use it for daily errands and cash access, so an outage interrupts store checkout and bill payments. You tap pay at a store and the QR screen spins or returns a failed transaction notice, while a transfer to another wallet can stall after you confirm the amount. A failed login or QR payment often comes first, because those steps need a fresh check before the app shows your saved balance or confirms a store payment. Trouble is often partial. Is GCash down right now?

Why does GCash keep showing 'Something went wrong' when I send money?

That message is the app's catch-all when a send money request does not finish. Check that your app is updated and that your connection is stable before you retry. If the amount left your balance but the recipient got nothing, open the transaction history and contact support from the app.

Why did my GCash cash in not reflect in my balance?

A cash in can post late when the bank or partner app is slow to confirm it. Keep the reference number and check your transaction history before you retry. Avoid sending the same cash in twice. If the balance still does not move after the partner confirms the transfer, contact support with the reference.

Why am I not getting the OTP for GCash?

An OTP can arrive late when your signal is weak or your inbox filters unknown senders. Check that the number on your account can receive texts and wait for the timer to finish before you request a new code. If codes never arrive, try another network or contact support from the app.

Why is my GCash account temporarily blocked and how do I get it back?

The app can block an account after repeated failed MPIN tries or a login it flags as unusual. Stop retrying the MPIN, because more attempts can extend the block, and use the account recovery steps shown on the login screen.
