Troubleshooting

How to fix Jazz not working

Jazz is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach telenor.com.pk over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Toggle Airplane mode

Open Quick Settings on your Android phone or Control Center on your iPhone, turn Airplane mode on, wait ten seconds, then turn it off. Watch for signal bars and try a call. If the phone shows No service or Emergency calls only while others nearby have bars, the fault is local to this handset or SIM.

  2. Reseat the Jazz SIM

Power the phone off, open the SIM tray, check that the card sits flat, then put it back and boot. For an eSIM, open Settings > Cellular on iPhone or Settings > Network & internet > SIMs on Android and turn the Jazz line off and on again. A loose card or a paused eSIM can cause Emergency calls only after a drop or update.

  3. Set the APN manually

On Android open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Jazz > Access point names; on iPhone open Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network. Choose the existing APN or add one with APN jazzinternet, leave username and password blank, then restart the phone. Mobile data that fails while calls work usually points here.

  4. Test the Jazz SIM in another phone

Put the SIM in a spare handset, turn off Wi-Fi, and try a call plus a mobile data page. If it fails there too, the problem sits on the line or SIM; if it works, the first phone needs a network reset. A network reset wipes saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings, so note them first.

While Jazz is down: what to use instead

  • Second SIM from another operator Use it for calls or mobile data when your Jazz line has no signal and you need to stay reachable.
  • Easypaisa Pay a bill or top up a phone through the app when the payment screen in Jazz will not complete, provided you can get online.
  • Debit or credit card Hand over a card at the counter if the in-app payment will not go through.
  • Customer care phone line Call from a different phone when the app will not load and you need account help; have your number ready.

About

What happens when Jazz goes down

Jazz is a Pakistani mobile network operator. Subscribers rely on it for calls, mobile data, SMS and JazzCash payments, so an outage can stop your work or cut you off from family.

Calls and mobile data tend to fail first, so a call drops or a page stalls; SMS can lag behind, and the main app on Android or iOS may open while wallet payments fail. Partial failures are common. One local cell site can be down while other areas work, and data can fail even when calls still connect, so you may see 'no service' or a payment may time out without a clear error.

Questions

Jazz FAQ

Is Jazz down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for the service are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. That reading comes from reports, not from direct checks of the network. If it is above the usual level, other people are reporting trouble. To tell whether the problem is only on your side, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then try the same action on another device or SIM from a different network.

Why does the Jazz app keep signing me out of my account?

A sign-out loop usually points to a stale session or a changed password. The app can lose its stored login token after an update, so clear the app cache and sign in again over mobile data rather than a captive Wi-Fi portal. If the app still returns you to the login screen, remove and reinstall it, then check whether your SIM is active in another phone.

Why does JazzCash show a failed transaction when I send money?

A failed transaction can come from a low balance or a blocked account, so check those before you retry. Confirm that your PIN is current and that the receiver's number is correct; then try again on mobile data with a stable signal. If the same message appears, contact the service through the app rather than repeating the payment. A duplicate request can make the problem worse.

Why is my Jazz data not working after I bought a package?

Data can stall when the APN is wrong or the package has not activated yet, so turn mobile data off and on and check that the correct SIM is selected for data. Repeat the activation step only if the app shows the package as pending. If pages still fail, test the SIM in another phone and reset the APN to the network default.

Why does my Jazz SIM show no service after I move it to a new phone?

Check the SIM tray first. A SIM can lose service if it is not seated correctly or if the phone is carrier locked, and a blocked or unpaid account can also stop calls and data, so rule out those causes before you change network settings. If the phone shows the SIM but no network, set the network mode to automatic and restart the device.

How we track Jazz

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Jazz, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Jazz, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Jazz doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
