Fix: Force close the Droplr app and check the App Store for any pending updates. You can also toggle Airplane Mode off and on to reset your network connection to Droplr.

What happens when Droplr goes down

Droplr is a file sharing and screen capture app. People who swap screenshots and large files for work rely on it, so an outage interrupts uploads, breaks shared links, stalls screen recordings, and leaves captures stuck on your device.

Uploads break first. The progress bar stalls, the app retries, and the file never finishes, so you cannot get a share link. Screenshots may save locally, but the link never appears. Existing links can return a blank page, and the desktop app, browser extension, web upload page, and mobile app can fail in different ways, so one path works while another does not; you may see partial failures more often than a full regional blackout.

Is Droplr down right now?

Why does Droplr say my upload failed?

Uploads can fail when your connection drops or your login session has expired. Try a smaller file first, then sign out and back in to refresh the session. If every upload fails from the web app and the desktop app on two different networks, reports may be above the usual level. Check the official status page for updates, and send a note to the help centre if the problem follows your account.

Why won't my Droplr screenshot save on Mac?

The Mac app needs Screen Recording permission before it can capture your screen. Open System Settings, then check Privacy and Security for that permission and restart the app. If screenshots save in the web app but not the desktop app, the block is local to your Mac. A full disk can stop a save. Free up space and close other capture tools if the save still fails.

Why do my Droplr links stop opening for other people?

A link can stop working if you deleted the drop or changed its privacy setting. Test the link in a private browser window while signed out; if it opens there, the recipient's network or browser is the likely block. If it fails for everyone, ask the help centre to check the drop from their side.

Why does the Droplr app keep asking me to log in?

The app stores a session token, and that token can go stale after a password change or a long time offline. Sign out and sign back in; if the loop continues, reset your password from the web app. On Mac or Windows, clear the saved credential for the app in Keychain or Credential Manager, then reinstall if needed. If the web app stays logged in while the desktop app does not, the problem is local to your device.
