Check the Digi report level
The status at the top of this page counts user problem reports in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. If reports are above their usual level, wait and retry later; a normal level points to a local fault on your phone or SIM. That does not prove the network is fine.
Refresh the Digi mobile network
Turn Airplane Mode on for 10 to 15 seconds, then turn it off. Wait for the signal bars to return; if you still see 'No Service' or the phone stays on 3G, open Settings and switch Mobile Data off and on. A fresh network registration often clears a stuck data session.
Check the MyDigi balance and APN
Open the app on Wi-Fi and check that your line has an active data pass and enough balance for calls or SMS; then open the APN settings: on iPhone, Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network, and on Android, Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Access point names. Confirm the APN reads diginet, and if it is blank or changed, add a new APN named Digi with APN diginet and save it.
Test the Digi SIM in another phone
Power off both phones and move the SIM to an unlocked phone. Check whether calls and mobile data work there; if you see the same 'No Service' or 'SIM not recognized' message on the second phone, visit a Digi store and ask for a SIM replacement.
While Digi Malaysia is down: what to use instead
- Wi-Fi calling If your handset has it switched on and your line supports it, calls and texts can go over a nearby Wi-Fi network when the mobile signal is out.
- Another carrier Use a second phone or a hotspot from a different provider for calls or data while the Digi connection gives nothing.
- Messaging apps over Wi-Fi When calls or texts will not go through, use a messaging app over Wi-Fi to reach people who are online.
- Browser account access If the app stalls, sign in to your account through a browser on Wi-Fi or another connection to check balance or top up.
What happens when Digi Malaysia goes down
Digi Malaysia is a mobile network operator with prepaid phone plans, postpaid phone plans, home broadband, and business phone plans. People rely on it for calls, texts, mobile data, and account tasks in the app, and an outage interrupts all four.
Mobile data stalls first for many people, so pages and messages sit half-loaded while your phone still shows bars. Calls fail or drop after a few seconds, and texts arrive late while your app cannot load balance or add-on pages. A problem can be regional or partial.
