Aussie Broadband outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 117 user reports came in for Aussie Broadband. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 5 reports, about 3 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Aussie Broadband not working
Aussie Broadband is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach aussiebroadband.com.au over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Power cycle the router and NBN box
Unplug the router at the wall, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in and let it settle for two to three minutes. Do the same for the NBN connection box if you have one. Most stuck sessions clear once the handshake starts fresh, and you lose nothing by trying.
Test the connection over Ethernet
Plug a laptop into a LAN port on the router with an Ethernet cable and load a page. If the wired connection works, your Wi-Fi is the problem, so lift the router off the floor and away from metal, then try the 5GHz network if your router shows a separate one. If the cable fails too, the fault is upstream.
Check the NBN connection box lights
On fibre to the premises, the Optical light on the NBN connection box should be solid green. Red or dark means no signal is reaching the box, so the fault sits outside your house. Write down which lights are on before you ring support.
Contact Aussie Broadband support
Open the help centre at https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au/contact/ and pick chat or phone, or log the fault in the MyAussie app. Have your account number and the light readings handy. Support can test the line from their end, which is the part you cannot do from home no matter how many times you restart the router.
While Aussie Broadband is down: what to use instead
- Mobile hotspot Use your phone's mobile data as a hotspot when the home connection drops, so a laptop or tablet can stay online for email and basic browsing.
- Public Wi-Fi A library or cafe network can cover a quick account check if your phone signal is weak.
- Help centre Open the help centre in a browser on mobile data if the app will not load and you need fault or account guidance.
- Phone support Call support when web chat stalls and you need to report a fault; have your account details ready.

What happens when Aussie Broadband goes down
Aussie Broadband is an Australian internet provider that sells nbn and mobile plans to homes and small offices. An outage interrupts video calls and remote access, and the status at the top of this page shows when user problem reports rise above their usual level in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours; it is not a live test of the line.
Live video calls and streaming usually fail first because they need a steady connection, while web pages hang and email may arrive late on a phone. Reports often vary by area. A wider fault can leave your modem with a red or amber internet light, and every device on the line drops at once; a partial problem may hit one town or one connection type and leave another area online. The page counts user problem reports; it does not ping, probe, poll or monitor the service, and it never checks from multiple locations, so use it as a signal of rising reports rather than proof of a fault on your line.

How we track Aussie Broadband
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Aussie Broadband, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Aussie Broadband, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Aussie Broadband doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
