How to fix 2k not working

2k is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Check 2K's server status
Open https://www.2k.com/serverstatus and look at the game or platform you use. If it shows an outage, wait before changing anything on your console or PC; local fixes will not bring the service back.
Restart the game and console
Close the game completely, then reopen it. On PS5, press Options on the game tile and choose Close Game; on Xbox, highlight the game, press Menu, and choose Quit. A full console restart clears a stuck sign-in state better than leaving the console in rest mode.
Test the console connection
On PlayStation, go to Settings > Network > Test Internet Connection. On Xbox, go to Settings > General > Network settings > Test network connection. If the game reaches the menu but MyCAREER or MyTEAM will not connect, check your router's firewall and any VPN before changing console settings.
Contact 2K support

Why does MyTEAM or MyCAREER hang on the connecting screen in NBA 2K?

Those modes need a live sign-in to your account and the game servers, so a Wi-Fi drop can look like an outage. Try a wired connection or a different network, then sign out and sign back in; if the same screen stalls there, check the official status page and the help centre.

Why does Civilization VI multiplayer drop after a few turns?

The host's connection can break a multiplayer session as much as the service can, so test a different host or a wired connection before you reset anything. If only Civ multiplayer fails while other online games work, report it to the help centre with the turn number and the platform you use.

Why did my NBA 2K VC purchase not show up?
