15 reports in total, counted in 15-minute windows

No problem reports came in for Broadcastify in the last hour, and at this time of day there are usually almost none. Over the last 24 hours there were 15 reports. There has been no spike in reports since 4 November. These are user reports from the US, where most people report Broadcastify problems.

In the past 24 hours, 15 user reports came in for Broadcastify. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day. Troubleshooting

How to fix Broadcastify not working

Broadcastify is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach broadcastify.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Try another Broadcastify feed

Open a nearby county or category page on Broadcastify and play a different feed. If that one plays, the original feed is probably offline or silent, so there may be nothing to fix on your device.

  2. Restart the Broadcastify player

Stop the stream, wait about 10 seconds, then press Play again. If the tab has been open for a while, refresh it with Ctrl+R on Windows or Command+R on Mac.

  3. Allow sound for broadcastify.com

In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Sound. Choose Sites can play sound, and remove broadcastify.com if it appears under Not allowed to play sound.

  4. Clear Broadcastify site data

In Chrome, open chrome://settings/siteData, search for broadcastify.com, and delete the saved site data. Close the tab, open Broadcastify again, sign in if asked, and try the feed once more.

While Broadcastify is down: what to use instead

  • OpenMHz Use it if your local public safety system is listed there, since it carries live and recent radio traffic for some agencies.
  • Scanner Radio Try it for police, fire, and EMS scanner feeds on iPhone or Android when you need a quick mobile option.
  • RadioReference Check its frequency database if you have a scanner or SDR and want to tune local channels yourself.
  • Local agency alerts Use your city, county, fire, or police alert channels for confirmed incident updates when live audio is not available.
About

What happens when Broadcastify goes down

Broadcastify is a live audio streaming site for public safety radio, aviation, rail, and marine feeds, with most listening tied to the United States. Scanner hobbyists, newsrooms, emergency watchers, and people following local incidents rely on it; an outage interrupts live feed playback and access to archived audio.

Live streams tend to show trouble first: the web player sits on loading, audio cuts out, the app fails to start a stream, or a feed page times out. State and county directories may still open while one local feed stays silent, since many streams come from separate volunteer feed providers. Because of that setup, problems are often partial or regional rather than a full Broadcastify failure. Audio archives can also load slowly or fail when playback pages are under strain.

Questions

Broadcastify FAQ

Is Broadcastify down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether problem reports are above their usual level, based on 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Those reports come from a public outage-reporting service, and this page does not monitor the service or collect reports itself. If the status looks normal, try a different live feed and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data; when one feed fails but others play, the issue is usually with that feed or your connection.

Why does a live scanner feed say it is offline?

Many live audio feeds come from individual feed providers, so one county or agency can go offline while the rest of the site still works. Try another feed in the same area if one exists. If only that feed is down, waiting is often the only fix unless the provider brings it back.

Why does the Broadcastify stream stop after a few seconds in the app?

The player can stall if your phone changes networks, blocks background data, or loses a steady connection. Close the app, reopen the same feed, and test with Wi-Fi and mobile data. If the same feed also stops in a browser, the feed itself may be having trouble.

Why can I play live audio but not archived audio?

Archive playback may require you to be signed in, and an expired session can make the archive page loop or refuse to play. Sign out, sign back in, and try the archive again from a fresh browser tab. If live feeds work but every archive fails, the problem is probably tied to your account session or the archive player.

Why is my local police, fire, or EMS channel missing?

Broadcastify depends on available feeds, and some agencies have no public feed at all. A channel may also disappear if the provider stops sending audio or the agency changes to a radio system that cannot be streamed. Search nearby counties, since some regional feeds cover more than one area.

How we track Broadcastify

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Broadcastify, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Broadcastify, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Broadcastify doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
