Troubleshooting

How to fix UniFi - Ubiquiti not working

UniFi - Ubiquiti is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach ui.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Reload and restart

Reload the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or fully close the app and open it again.

  2. Try another connection

Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one and not the other, the problem is your network, not UniFi - Ubiquiti.

  3. Update the app

Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Old versions can stop connecting after a server-side change.

While UniFi - Ubiquiti is down: what to use instead

  • Local console If you are on the same network as the UniFi console or gateway, open its local management page in a browser and change settings there instead of waiting on cloud access.
  • Wired connection Plug a laptop straight into the switch or gateway when Wi-Fi or remote access is the failing part, because local wired access can still reach the Network application.
  • Mobile hotspot Use a phone hotspot to get one workstation online when the gateway or WAN link is the problem, then work from that connected device.
  • TP-Link Omada If the site already has Omada access points and a controller, use that separate management path for those devices and leave the UniFi gear alone until access returns.

How we track UniFi - Ubiquiti

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for UniFi - Ubiquiti, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for UniFi - Ubiquiti, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. UniFi - Ubiquiti doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
