TekSavvy outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 114 user reports came in for TekSavvy. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 7 reports, about 21 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix TekSavvy not working
TekSavvy is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach teksavvy.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Check the TekSavvy report level
The report level at the top of this page counts user problem reports in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours; it does not test your line. Look at the official status page for posts about outages in your area, then keep troubleshooting if nothing matches.
Power-cycle your TekSavvy modem
Unplug the power from the modem and router, wait 30 seconds, plug the modem back in first, and wait for its online light to settle before you plug in the router. If the light stays off or keeps flashing after several minutes, move on to a wired test.
Test a wired TekSavvy connection
Plug an Ethernet cable from your computer to a LAN port on the router, then turn off Wi-Fi so the wired adapter is the only connection. If pages load on the wire but fail on Wi-Fi, forget the network in your device's Wi-Fi settings and join it again; if the wire fails too, bypass the router.
Bypass the TekSavvy router
Unplug the router and connect a computer straight to the modem with an Ethernet cable, then open Command Prompt as administrator and run ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew. If the direct connection works, the router or Wi-Fi is the problem; if it fails, use the help centre to open a ticket and say you tested at the modem.
While TekSavvy is down: what to use instead
- Mobile hotspot Tether your laptop or tablet to your phone's mobile data when the home line drops, which keeps email and basic browsing moving until the connection returns.
- Public Wi-Fi Use a library or cafe network for a task that cannot wait, then log out of any accounts you opened there.
- Official status page Check TekSavvy's official X status account for outage notes when the home connection will not load the help centre.
- Help centre by phone Call the help centre from your cell if the connection is too poor to open the contact page, and have your account details ready.

What happens when TekSavvy goes down
TekSavvy is a Canadian independent internet provider that also sells TV and home phone service, so a household or a small shop can depend on one connection for work and entertainment. An outage takes down the connection behind video calls, streaming, smart-home devices, and card payments at the counter.
Your browser fails first. A page hangs on a blank screen, a video call freezes while the router lights look normal, streaming drops to a spinner, and a failed DNS lookup leaves apps showing 'server not found' or 'no internet' even though Wi-Fi is still connected. Smart plugs and thermostats lose their cloud link, and a home phone adapter can go silent without dial tone. Problems often hit one area or one service at a time, so a neighborhood line fault can take out your block while another town stays online; check the official status page and the help centre before you reset the router, because a wider fault will not clear no matter how many times you power-cycle the gear.

How we track TekSavvy
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for TekSavvy, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for TekSavvy, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. This is separate from TekSavvy's official status page: user reports tend to show a problem early, while the official page confirms the cause. If the two disagree, check both.
