Troubleshooting

How to fix Moneycorp not working

Moneycorp is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach moneycorp.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Check Moneycorp's report level

The bar at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for the service sit above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. It does not ping or monitor Moneycorp, so a normal level points to a local fault; a spike means other people are hitting the same wall. Wait for the spike to fall before you spend time on device fixes.

  2. Force close Moneycorp

Swipe the app away from your phone's app switcher, then open it again. If a transfer screen hangs, leave it closed for a minute before you retry so the first request can clear. This clears a stuck login or payment screen without touching your account.

  3. Switch Moneycorp to mobile data

On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular and switch on mobile data for the app. Turn off Wi-Fi, then try a login or a small transfer; if it works, your home Wi-Fi is the likely cause.

  4. Reinstall Moneycorp

Delete the app from your phone, then install it again from the App Store or Google Play and sign in. Keep any transfer reference and receipt handy, because a payment that already left your account will not disappear with the reinstall. Do this only after the simpler steps fail.

While Moneycorp is down: what to use instead

  • Wise Use Wise for international transfers and currency exchange through its website or app.
  • Revolut Use Revolut if you need to exchange currencies or send money from a mobile app.
  • Western Union Use Western Union when the recipient needs cash pickup or a transfer through an agent.
  • MoneyGram Use MoneyGram for international transfers where the recipient can collect cash locally.

About

What happens when Moneycorp goes down

Moneycorp is a foreign exchange and international payments service for people sending money overseas and businesses paying suppliers in other currencies. An outage interrupts rate quotes and transfer tracking; a payment can miss its deadline while you wait.

Logging in is often the first thing to fail, with a password accepted but the account page looping back to sign-in, and rate quotes can stall before you reach the transfer form. If you get past that, a transfer may stay pending after you submit it, or a recipient payment can show as sent when the funds have not cleared. Problems are often partial. One payment corridor or one login route can break while the rest of the app still loads, and the status at the top of the page counts user problem reports in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, so a regional problem can show up even though the service is not down everywhere.

Questions

Moneycorp FAQ

Is Moneycorp down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Nobody here pings the app or tests it from different locations, so treat the banner as a signal about reports, not a live check of your account. To rule out your own connection, try the same login on mobile data instead of wifi and switch off any VPN. If the site loads but your payment or card still fails, the problem is most likely in your account or at your bank rather than a wider outage.

My international payment still shows as pending after the money left my bank. What is happening?

International routes often take longer than the estimate in your account, and the receiving bank adds its own clearing time on top. Check the beneficiary details first, because a wrong IBAN or a mismatched account name will hold a transfer until someone corrects it. If the money has left your bank and the payment shows no movement at all, get the transfer reference from your bank and raise it with support.

Why was my Moneycorp card declined abroad when I have a balance?

A decline usually comes from a fraud check triggered by a sudden change of country, or from a card that has expired or been frozen in the app. Open the card screen and confirm it is active before you try the terminal again. If the card works in one shop and fails in the next, the merchant or their terminal is the likelier cause.

The verification code never arrives and I cannot log in. What can I try?

Short-code messages get filtered by some mobile networks, so request a fresh code and check the phone number saved in your profile before you try again. If the app is already installed on a trusted device, approving the login there may get you past the code step. Support can reset the second factor once they have confirmed who you are, which is worth doing before you are locked out mid-transfer.

Why is my account asking for ID documents again before I can send money?

Repeat checks usually follow an expired ID or a name mismatch between your bank account and your profile. Upload a clear photo with all four corners of the document visible and the name spelled exactly as it appears on your account. Reviews can take a working day or longer, so send the documents well before you need the transfer to land.

How we track Moneycorp

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Moneycorp, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Moneycorp, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Moneycorp doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
