2. Restart the game cleanly

   On Windows, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, select FragPunk if it is still listed, and choose End task. Open Steam again from Start > All apps > Steam, then launch the game from Library.

3. Verify Steam game files

   In Steam, open Library > FragPunk > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. This check replaces broken or missing local files when the launcher opens but the game crashes, hangs on loading, or refuses to start after a patch.

4. Refresh Windows networking

   Open Start, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and choose Run as administrator. Run ipconfig /flushdns, then run netsh winsock reset and restart Windows before starting Steam again.
