While Ford Pass is down: what to use instead
- Key fob The fob locks, unlocks and remote starts the car with no data connection at all, so use it when the app sits on its loading screen. Range is short.
- Ford owner website Your owner account on the Ford site shows service history and takes a booking, and a phone browser gets you in when the app refuses to open.
- Dealer service desk Call the dealership for a service slot or a question about a recall notice; the person on the line works from the same schedule the app pulls up.
- Charging network app Electrify America and ChargePoint each have their own app to find a charger and start a session, which covers EV owners when the charging map in the service will not load. Plug in first, then pay.
