Steam: "Steam Servers are currently unavailable"
Steam servers unavailable
Steam can't reach its servers. This can be a Steam network outage or heavy traffic, or a problem on your own PC or network.
How to fix "Steam Servers are currently unavailable"
Check the Steam network status page to see if Steam is having an outage.
Pick a different nearby region under Steam > Settings > Downloads > Download region.
Repair Steam by deleting everything in the Steam install folder except steam.exe and the steamapps folder, then start Steam again.
Check your firewall, antivirus and router settings using Steam's network troubleshooting guide.
If it happens right after a purchase, log out of Steam and log back in.
From Steam's help pages: help.steampowered.com, in our words. Checked on 5 November 2026. If the steps do not help, Steam's own support is the next stop.
