Common problemSteamSteam client on Windows and Mac
Steam can't connect to the network
Router, firewall or internet provider blocking Steam
When the client can't sign in or reach Steam, Valve points to the local network, firewalls, programs that interfere with Steam, or a wider Steam outage.
Fix it
How to fix it
Check the Steam server status to rule out a wider outage.
Restart your router, and test a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.
Check your firewall and allow Steam through it.
Disable or remove programs on Valve's list of software that may interfere with Steam.
If it only fails at certain hours, contact your internet provider.
