Steam: "An error occurred while updating"
Game update or install failed
Steam could not finish installing or updating a game. The exact reason appears in brackets at the end of the message.
Fix it
How to fix "An error occurred while updating"
Restart Steam and your computer.
Clear the download cache under Steam > Settings > Downloads.
Repair the library folder under Steam > Settings > Storage.
Verify the game's files from its Properties > Installed Files tab.
Switch to another download region and try again.
