Common problemSteamSteam client on PC, Mac and Steam Deck
Steam Cloud unable to sync
Save files can't reach Steam Cloud
Steam could not sync your local game files with Steam Cloud. Valve says this can be temporary or caused by a network problem, and starting the game anyway can create a conflict and lose progress.
How to fix it
Fix the sync problem before you launch the game instead of choosing to play anyway.
Restart your modem and router, and use a wired connection if you can.
Test a different network to rule out your internet provider.
Make sure firewall or antivirus software is not blocking Steam, and exclude the Steam userdata folder from scans.
