Dialpad outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 10 user reports came in for Dialpad. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 2 reports, about 21 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Dialpad not working
Dialpad is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach dialpad.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Reload the Dialpad tab
Press Ctrl+R on Windows or Command+R on a Mac to reload the Dialpad tab; if you use the desktop app, quit it and start it again. A stale tab can leave calls ringing on another device and messages stuck behind.
Set your Dialpad status to Available
Click your profile picture and pick Available from the status menu. Do Not Disturb sends calls straight to voicemail, so the app can look dead to callers even when it is signed in.
Choose audio devices in Dialpad
Open Settings, then Audio & Video. Choose the microphone and speaker from the dropdowns; if callers cannot hear you, switch to the built-in mic and try a call.
Sign out of Dialpad and back in
Click your profile picture, choose Sign Out, quit the app, then reopen it and sign in again. Signing out clears a bad session when calls fail to connect or messages stop syncing. Your settings stay put.
While Dialpad is down: what to use instead
- Google Voice Use it to place calls from a browser if the desktop app will not connect.
- Microsoft Teams Use it for calls and chat if your workplace already runs meetings there.
- Zoom Start a meeting from the desktop client when you need a quick call and the phone controls will not load.
- Phone dialer Call from the mobile network when the app will not open or connect.
What happens when Dialpad goes down
Dialpad is a cloud phone and communications service for business calls, messaging, video meetings, and contact center queues. Support teams and front desk staff rely on it for customer calls and internal chat, so an outage interrupts conversations, meetings, voicemail, and queue work.
In an outage, calls fail first. You press call and get a failed call message, or you connect with one-way audio while chat still loads. Messaging may lag or show messages stuck on sending; voicemail can arrive late; joining a meeting can stall at the connection step; and changes to routing or queues may not apply. Problems can be regional or partial: one office can lose inbound calls while another site keeps working, and the mobile app can fail while the desktop app still connects.

How we track Dialpad
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Dialpad, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Dialpad, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Dialpad doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
