  1. Reload the page or reopen the app

  2. Sign out and sign back in

    A login loop or a blank thread can come from a stale session; sign out from your account menu and sign in again with the same method you used before. That gives the app a fresh session without changing your saved threads.

  3. Switch networks and drop the VPN

    Disconnect any VPN and switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data. A filtered school network or a VPN can block the requests that load answers and search results.

  4. Clear the app cache or reinstall

    On Android, open Settings > Apps > Perplexity > Storage & cache > Clear cache; if the app still fails, uninstall it and reinstall from the Play Store. On iOS, delete the app and install it again from the App Store.

Why does Perplexity AI stop halfway or keep spinning without sources?
You hit a generation stall when the answer cuts off mid-sentence with blank sources. Reload the thread and ask a shorter follow-up with Focus set to Web because long Pro searches time out more often when you sit on weak Wi-Fi. Try again on refresh.

Why can't I sign in with Google or stay logged in on Perplexity AI?
