The app could not play the video

YouTube lists this among its most common playback errors. Its fixes cover the network connection, your sign-in, the app version and the device itself.

Is YouTube down right now? Partial outage: 302 problem reports in the last hour. Many people are having trouble, so this error may come from YouTube's side: waiting can be enough.

Check that your internet works and that YouTube is allowed to use mobile data.
Make sure you are signed in to YouTube.
Close the YouTube app or restart your device.
Update the YouTube app and your device's system software.
Uninstall and reinstall the app if the error keeps coming back.
