Yahoo Mail not working in Outlook or Thunderbird
Security changes block third-party email apps
An email app like Outlook, Thunderbird or Samsung Mail suddenly stops sending or getting Yahoo mail. Yahoo says its frequent security updates can cause this, and that a password change or two-step verification means the app needs new login details.
How to fix it
Sign in to Yahoo Mail in a web browser and deal with any password or account prompt you see there.
If you changed your Yahoo password, enter the new one in the email app too.
If you use two-step verification or Account Key, create a third-party app password and use it in the app.
Remove the Yahoo account from the email app and add it again.
If the app still fails, switch to the Yahoo Mail app or contact the app's maker.
