Stuck on ICE Checking in voice

Discord cannot get through to its voice servers. Discord groups this with errors caused on your side, usually a firewall or VPN interfering with the connection.

Fix it

How to fix "ICE Checking"

  1. Restart your modem, router and computer.

  2. Confirm with your internet provider that there is no outage nearby.

  3. Allow Discord through your firewall or antivirus.

  4. Check that your VPN supports UDP, or ask your network admin if Discord is blocked.

  5. Try a different voice region for the channel or call.
