How to fix Apple Card not working

Apple Card is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

  1. Reload and restart

    Reload the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or fully close the app and open it again.

  2. Try another connection

    Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one and not the other, the problem is your network, not Apple Card.

  3. Update the app

    Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Old versions can stop connecting after a server-side change.

While Apple Card is down: what to use instead

  • Physical Apple Card Use the card at a chip or tap terminal when the Wallet app will not open and you need to pay.
  • Another card Pay with a different credit or debit card you carry if the Apple Card purchase is declined or the card number will not show in the app.
