Google Analytics outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 13 user reports came in for Google Analytics. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 2 reports, about 22 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Google Analytics not working
Google Analytics is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach analytics.google.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Reload and restart
Reload the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or fully close the app and open it again.
Try another connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one and not the other, the problem is your network, not Google Analytics.
Update the app
Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Old versions can stop connecting after a server-side change.
While Google Analytics is down: what to use instead
- Matomo Use it when you need an independent dashboard for page views and referrers and the usual reports will not load.
- Plausible Analytics A simple traffic view covers top pages and referrers if you only need counts, not the full report set.
- Fathom Analytics Pick it for a basic page-view and referrer check when a lightweight dashboard is enough.
- Search Console Check search impressions and clicks for your site if the missing data is about Google search traffic.

How we track Google Analytics
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Google Analytics, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Google Analytics, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Google Analytics doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
