Vanguard lost its connection

Shown as a connection error, often after a crash. It usually means Vanguard lost the connection or session it needs while the game was starting or running.

How to fix error VAN 68

  1. Restart your PC.

  2. Check that Windows date, time and time zone are correct.

  3. Set the Vanguard (vgc) service to Automatic and reinstall Vanguard if needed.

  4. Do a clean boot or reinstall the game.

  5. Turn off Killer Network Service if you have it.
