Gemini usage limit reached
You used up your 5-hour or weekly allowance
Gemini stops answering with the model you picked and tells you when your limit resets. Limits depend on your plan, the model, the features you use and how long the chat is, and they reset every 5 hours up to a weekly cap.
How to fix it
Check the notice or open Settings, then Usage Limits, to see when your limit refreshes.
Wait for the reset, or keep going with Flash-Lite if you have a Google AI plan.
Start a new chat when you change topic so Gemini does not reread a long history.
Upgrade to a Google AI plan if you need higher limits.
